4 Lions Pride wrestlers go to Purdue University in Indian to wrestle in a Freestyle Tourney

We Had a few wrestlers head up north to test their skills against some Northern Wrestlers, and they weren't to be disappointed. Jonathon Roberts and Zach Pickney made a weekend of the event and wrestled at the Mater Dei Tourney in Evansville, IN on saturday with Jonathon taking 2nd and Zach taking 3rd palace honors. Participation was around 300 plus. They then traveled up to Purdue in West Lafayette meeting up with Josue Brown and Ryan Nell for the Sunday Boiler Classic. Everyone wrested great and they saw some great competition. We ultimately brought home some iron.

Great job guys and the ones that put forth the most dedication and are willing to test their skills on the mat will be the ones in the end who get their hands raised the most. Congratulations to the four horsemen who traveled 5.5 hours to see some tough competition.

Special thanks to Coach Roberts from Beech and Rob Nell from Blackmen who assisted the kids with this tourney and provided transportation. Without volunteers like yourselves the program goes doesnt expand. Thank you from Lions Pride.
